It’s ok for the price

It’s a bit hard to put together - getting the arms in place in particular. But so far it’s really comfortable and the base is sturdy.

Fits My Big Butt!

Fits my Big Butt! And since I am 350lbs I am not afraid of it breaking. Nice to lean back and relax.

Nice looking but not comfortable.

The chair is very nice looking and wide enough to be comfortable. However, it's not deep enough or padded enough to be comfortable if you sit in the chair for more than 8 hours a day.

Just finished assembly

I am a 49 (almost 50 🫣) yr old woman and put it together by myself. That being said here are my 2 cents:The instructions were in the packaging with the back cushion of the chair. Having read previous reviews stating there were no instructions, I went in thinking there were no instructions so I found them online before I even started. They were very easy to find online so there’s that. Halfway through is when I found the paper instructions tucked in with the seat back.Things were moving along smoothly, easily adding the correctly labeled screws in the correct spot. Tab A into Slot B-easy peasy. Until….putting the arms on along with the bracket that holds the seat cushion and back cushion together. The instructions say to put the bracket on before the arms. Now, I read previous reviews, including the one that said to attached the arms before the bracket. PUT THE ARMS ON BEFORE THE BRACKET!!! Trust me, the arms will not line up if you put the bracket on first, no matter how much you twist yourself into a pretzel trying to push the cushions out with your hands and feet. Other than that and having to back the bracket screws out that were a bit of a struggle themselves this was fairly easy to assemble. After the seat was assembled putting it onto the legs was a bit cumbersome because of its weight. But I’m an out of shape 49 yr old woman. My husband could have done it with ease.Once fully assembled, my first impression is this is a WONDERFUL addition to my home office. It’s sturdy, VERY minimal plastic parts which is what makes it so heavy. The fabric is beautiful. It’s a cream colored linen-like textured canvas that will stand up to some wear. I replaced a cheap pleather office chair in which the “leather coating” was peeling incessantly. And most importantly, it’s SO comfortable. My initial thoughts are that this is well worth the money spent, and the quality could easily warrant a higher price point. If you go into assembly fully armed with the knowledge of the struggles you may encounter, it will be worth it. At least I think they were worth it.I will update after some use if I find the cushions break down too quickly, but I don’t expect them to. I imagine I will enjoy this sturdy chair for some time to come. I’m very happy so far.Side note: I did purchase upgraded rollerblade wheels with the purchase of the chair for $15 so I won’t comment on the ease of movement in that sense.

Big and Comfy

Love it! Color is beautiful, it look really nice, high quality and sturdy. My bf said it was fairly easy to put together. Makes sitting in an office chair and working from home so much more comfortable and the biggest bonus is being able to sit with my legs up, criss-crossed. Would definitely recommend.

comfy chair BUT

it’s a very comfy chair, but its very difficult to put together specifically the arms. we had to use a special device to put the arms into the holes because they were not lined up properly with the arms. because of that, it’s definitely a little pricey, but overall the chair is sturdy and looks good.

It was easy to assemble and it looks great.

I like it but…

I love the chair except for 1 thing. It’s hard to find a chair that can support me. I was sad that the tilt function isn’t like I thought. I like to sit and work in a semi reclined position and this chair doesn’t lock that position. The unlocking is only for the rocking. Other than that it’s comfortable. I hired someone to put the chair together for me cause I was afraid I would have difficulties like the reviews said and the assembler said just what the others said.

Overall, this is an amazing office chair!

Huge, comfortable chair. I love sitting criss-cross apple sauce in it. Great quality. At times, the wheels seem difficult to move and steer in certain directions. The locking is a bit annoying.

Chair tough to put together ..read all the reviews for hints.

It's a lovely chair. Comfortable. But an absolute beast to put together. Thanks to the reviews from others, I figured out that keeping the bolts holding the back together slightly loose, whilst we man handled the arms into place, actually worked. And we completely constructed the chair, arms and everything prior to placing the chair on the base (Which was not the order in the diagram) . Chair did arrive with instructions for putting it together, but the instructions were hidden in the plastic wrapping the back ...so not immediatly obvious!

It's way better than most? I kept this one?

It used to be you could go down to Staples and sit on chairs and get "that one", and that included cloth ones. Not so much anymore. And I have cats. So, like, leather? No. Ever have a leather chair with a cat? It's... like... not a thing. So, when it was time to replace my last Staples chair... 10 years ago at this point, I started buying these things online, assembling them, and going "nope. Hate this." and then disassembling it and returning it. Which was... shall we say... "not entertaining".So I spent a decade of periodically getting annoyed at my further degrading chair (I did mention cats, right? Like... four of them... big ones...) and eventually buying another chair. Which then was crud. So I sent it back. I was waiting for the Amazon police to show up at my house with a "communication stick". (they didn't.)Finally I bought this one.It resoundingly did not suck. It bordered on decent, actually. Not great. A little overly wide because I'm not huge. (I'm 220lbs, but I'm not overly round- stocky type), and the cushions are "fine" but your butt will hurt if you sit in the chair for more than a couple hours. So, I kept it. It works. It's fine.

I'm 6' 2 1/2" 265lbs - Most Comfortable Computer Chair I've Ever Owned

I spend several hours a day in my computer chair. The seat area is very wide and my legs don't hit the arms. It's soft and comfortable. I've had many computer chairs over the years and this is the best chair I've ever purchased. My last chair was an extra wide and rated up to 400lbs. It lasted over 10 years but wasn't even close to the comfort of this chair. And, the last chair cost just under $400 to our front door. This chair sure seems to be well built and should hold up for several years. I've had it for 2 months as I write this and I couldn't be happier.

A little hard to assemble, but very impressive!

I bought this chair a few weeks ago to replace my old crappy one and it was definitely worth it. This thing is super comfortable and it can lean back pretty far. I'm a slim person and the chair itself is quite wide which allows for me to curl up on it if I'm watching a movie or something which is nice. The only issue I had with it is that the assembly was a bit of a pain, particularly with the screw holes on the metal bracing holding the backrest and the seat together not aligning properly which required me to have someone push the seat into place while I worked the screws in. Other than that though I've had no problems and this thing is the definition of comfort. I hope it lasts me many good years to come and more!Edit: After a few months this thing is still going strong and I love it. One somewhat annoying downside is that the screws holding the armrests into the seat seem to come loose once a month or so, requiring you to re-tighten them a little bit to stop them from wobbling. It's not a big deal, but don't get rid of the included allen wrench in case it happens to you too!

not all the pieces were right

I gave this to my husband for Christmas and when he went to put it together it was very hard. The holes for the screws did not align like they were supposed to and it was very difficult to put together. Aside from that Id give it a 5. It took 2 full grown men to push this chair together and hold it with all their strength to get the screw holes to align.

Excellent chair, just a small hiccup with assembly

This chair is very heavy-duty and well-made. If you don't abuse it, it should last for a good couple decades of daily use.My only criticism is the same as many others. Putting the armrests on can be a chore. My right armrest bolted up no problem, but the left had one hole drilled off by about 3/4 to 1 inch.I had some shoulder problems on the day I put this together, which did NOT make the process any easier but I got through it. The one armrest not fitting right was the biggest problem. I ended up using a small ratchet strap on the armrest, to bend it just far enough to get the mounting bolt started and screwed in straight. There was a lot of cussing but I got it done. Now I have an awesome chair that will last a long time.Very comfortable, the padding feels like quality and long-lasting, the frame and build feels almost bomb-proof, and for the price especially, this is an awesome chair that feels like it may last my lifetime. Very, very nice compared to the old wreck of a chair that this one replaced. Very happy with the purchase overall.

Maybe Not
Hard to put together for different reasons

The chair arrived with no damage, and is quite heavy. The entire frame of the chair is made out of metal, the only plastic parts are the wheels and gas piston cover. The pieces fit well together, the people who struggled are not doing it properly. The chair comes completely disassembled. The part where your butt sits is separate from the back of the chair. They connect with an L shaped metal brace on the back. IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO DO THIS BEFORE YOU ATTACH THE ARMRESTS. If you create a rigid structure and force the other armrests to fit, then you're forcing a rigid structure to bend to your will. It's like trying to close a zipper with stuff still hanging out of the bag. Once you attach the arm rests to the 2 seat parts first, THEN you attach the support bracket on the back of the chair. This leads to the 2nd wave of problems. The brace fits under the part where you screw in the bottom of the chair hardware. It is important that the brace is UNDER the mount. You might be asking well that's a no brainer if you read the manual.THERE IS NO MANUAL.It's literally the screws, and the chair. That's all you get. Every single bolt has the same diameter, just different length. You will be spending an extra 30 minutes screwing and unscrewing bolts to learn which one is supposed to go where.Completely stupid. Whoever works in quality control needs to be retrained and make sure each unit ships with instructions.Once you sacrifice about an hour of trial and error, the chair IS nice. It is very comfortable. I don't know what people are talking about needing new wheels. Mine are fine and glide across my wood floors easily. The fabric and cushion has that weird new couch smell for about a week. I sprayed mine with febreze and left a charcoal bag on it while I was at work. It no longer smells. This is literally a "you get what you pay for" chair. The materials are nice, but there's always a damn trade off with these things. This one is you have to figure out how to put it together your self.

Extremely Comfortable

I got this chair for my wife for Christmas, and she raves about how much more comfortable it is than her old chair. She uses it a lot every day, it has good lumbar support, the armrest padding is soft. The chair is a little bigger and wider than most office chairs I've see, but it still fits at the desk.Assembly was mostly simple, but it loses a ton of points for how difficult it is to attach the armrests. On each end of the armrest, there are let's say thumb-diameter metal tube shapes, and the sides of the chair bottom and backrest have smaller metal tubes that the armrest tubes fit around. You can get one side of the armrest's metal tube to fit onto the chair bottom or backrest somewhat stably even before screwing a bolt into it, but you will have to succeed at bending the metal armrest or the metal support connecting the chair bottom to the backrest to get the 2nd tube to line up. I think I laid the chair on its side, held the chair in place with some body-weight and pushed the armrest as hard as I could after having 1 side of the armrest attached until I got the 2nd tube to line up; once that tube is pressed in a little, it will be able to hold there even against the tension from the bent metal, and then you can screw the bolt in. It's tough, but once it's done, it's done, and you've got a great chair.

Harder to assemble than most office chairs, but it was worth it COMFORTABLE

Chair was not extremely hard to assemble. I think the issue with assembly stems from instruction issues. One of the steps says attach sitting part to the back part with the bracket. Once you do that, the position of those two is locked in. However, you need a little bit of flexibility to attach arms.It also helped to attach arms to the sitting part first and then use a bit of leverage to attach arm to the back part.Anyway - this chair is extremely comfortable. Though I do wish it was lower. It's my sitting preference - almost sit on the floor if you will. But I instantly want to fall asleep... which is probably frowned upon

Mixed reaction

Attaching the arms to the chair was quite challenging- the bolt holes in the arm piece did not readily match those pre-drilled in the seat and back of the chair. I managed to press hard enough on the arms to get them to bend slightly allowing all the bolt holes to align. The day after succeeding in getting the arms attached, one popped-off when I lightly leaned against it as I sat in the chair. That event was surprising and very disappointing, requiring me to have to again struggle to attach the arm. Also, the back is not so high as I expected for a chair said to be for "Big and tall" people. I am over 6 feet tall and the back of my head does not rest against the seat back. I do like the fabric upholstery and the metal plate for attaching the seat and back of the chair.

Poorly designed

I wish I would have heeded the warning reviews. I was expecting the chair to be heavy, thats fine. The biggest issue is, whoever designed where the holes should be has never measured anything in their entire life. The arms were nearly impossible to install. Once you got one screw set in the hole the other side was an entire inch off. We ended up having to unscrew the back and have a 300 lb person sit in the chair and forcefully lean back to finally get the screw in. Now the chair is "complete" but because the holes are all so poorly placed, the entire back is slightly askew. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Go elsewhere, save yourself the headache. And no, I won't be returning it because the thought of trying to take this apart again makes me want to hurl.

Grey chair

Now that it’s assembled I really like it, very comfortable and supportive, but it was definitely a challenge to assemble due to its size and weight. The hardest part was attaching the arms, but I discovered the best way to do it is to lay the chair on its side to attach the arms, otherwise, the holes do not lineup! One person commented on the arm issue, if they see this, they might try laying the chair on its side to see if they can get the screws to go in. Another person said that they couldn’t get it to recline, all you have to do is pull out the lever arm to get it into the recline mode. I like the fabric, I just hope it holds up, but I suspect it will.

Liked this chair - until it started sinking after 8 months

Edited again: The hydraulics in the second chair lasted about 9 months, but I didn't ask for another replacement. The new chair is much lower than is comfortable for me, but I put a thick cushion on it and made it work. Now, a little less than 2 years later, the arm broke off. The bolt that holds it off literally broke in half. And of course, the part that broke off is flush with the assembly, so I can't even buy a new bolt and continue using the chair. I can remove the arm and use the chair without an arm or get a new chair. I don't recommend this chair at all. I'm buying a different brand this time.Edited to add: The company sent me a new chair in response to my review. I was very happy with their customer service and will update my review again in a few months, after I've ensured that the new chair isn't defective.I loved this chair at first. I am 5'8" and weigh 330 pounds, so well under the weight limit, and the chair is huge. I have plenty of space to cross my legs and sit however I want. The seat, arms, and back are comfortable and have even held up fairly well to my cat's frequent scratching. However, I have had this chair for about seven and a half months, and it no longer stays at the height I like. Every time I sit in the chair, it sinks down to the lowest level. Super annoying, especially for someone who sits at a tall desk. I have to reach up to use my keyboard, which I can imagine is going to cause some shoulder and arm strain in short order. I am going to have to replace the chair after far less than a year, and I will definitely not be buying another from this brand/seller.
